Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers

Created in 1973, the Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers (NEG/ECP) brings together the governors of all six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont) and the premiers of Québec and the four Atlantic provinces.

It is a leading regional forum for discussing topics of shared interest, such as cross-border issues, and encourages cooperation in areas such as the following:

  • energy
  • the environment
  • trade
  • transportation
  • security.
