In the wake of the “Montréal, guest of honour at Barcelona’s La Mercè” mission, the Palais des congrès de Montréal (Montréal convention centre) and the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal have signed a letter of intent with Fira Barcelona, one of Europe’s leading trade fair promoters.
Officially signed in Barcelona on September 21 in the presence of Marjolaine Ricard, Director of the BQB, Alain Therrien, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of International Relations, La Francophonie and External Trade, and Helen Fotopulos, Montréal executive committee member responsible for culture, heritage, design and women's issues, the agreement is the cornerstone of a long-term partnership that will generate substantial spin-offs, thanks to events that have never before been held in North America, which will serve as levers for key sectors of the Montréal economy.
The BQB’s mission includes support for efforts by Québec businesses to build strategic alliances.
