Over 50 Québec mining companies took part in Las Vegas in September in MINExpo International 2012, the world’s largest mining equipment and services trade fair.
Tangible results in sight
An economic promotion agency called 48e Nord International, which provided support for several exhibitors, was highly satisfied with its collaboration. The agency is based in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, the epicentre of the Québec mining industry. According to the head of 48e Nord International, Claude Thibault, “The participants were very impressed by the number of buyers and people’s interest in Québec. A number of Québec companies are expecting tangible results from this event.”
MINExpo International is held every four years. This year’s edition was 45% larger than the 2011 event, with 1,890 exhibitor booths and the participation of 58,359 mining industry professionals.
