The International Trade Fair for Transport Technology hosted a group of fourteen Québec companies in September. Overall, the event drew more than 126,000 industry professionals who traveled to Berlin to visit the 2,500 exhibitors from 49 different countries.

At the trade show, Québec’s representatives learned about the latest innovations in the industry, presented their products and services and sought partnerships in the fields of manufacturing, distribution and research.

The visit to Berlin's central train station was largely organized by the Québec Government Office in Munich (DGQM) and allowed the participants to get a first-hand view of the impressive logistics of this infrastructure, which handles 300,000 passengers per day, making it one of Europe’s largest train stations.

Driven and creative SMEs

Québec's strong presence at InnoTrans also showed that the industry does not draw its strength solely from its major players, but also from driven, innovative SMEs that are open to international markets. These companies included:

  • Baultar Concept inc.
  • Elasto Proxy
  • Giro inc.
  • Industrie Lemieux
  • InfoDev
  • MSB
  • NDT Technologies inc.
  • Parker Filtration Canada
  • Romell-Systèmes électroniques de mesures et de contrôle inc.
  • R.P.M. Tech inc.
  • S&C Rail solutions
  • Verbom inc.
  • Varitron Technologies inc.

In addition to supporting these Québec companies in the export process and their search for business partners, the commercial services division of the Québec Government Office in Munich assists and supports them at fairs, trade shows and trade missions that are held within its territory.
