Minister Jean-François Lisée announced the creation of a committee this morning mandated to consider what should constitute a Québec international solidarity agency (Agence québécoise de solidarité internationale - AQSI).
The existence of an AQSI would enable Québec to achieve its own international solidarity development initiatives. As a major partner of the MRIFCE, the AQOCI plays a fundamental role in raising the Québec population’s awareness of international cooperation issues.
