The President and Chief Executive Officer of Bombardier Inc., Pierre Beaudoin, was the keynote speaker at the fourth edition of the Québec Annual Lecture, organized by the Québec Government Office in London, which took place on November 21.

“Innovating requires time and a lot of patience” was Mr. Beaudoin’s message to an audience of some 400 people at Central Hall Westminster.

Mr. Beaudoin gave a brief historic overview of the company and discussed its vision for the future. Bombardier is now a leader in the production of all types of trains and aircraft and employs more than 3,500 people in the United Kingdom.

“I wanted to invite a personality whose background was closely linked to Québec. I could hardly have made a better choice than Bombardier and its CEO. Bombardier is an example of two things we cherish in Québec: creativity and openness to the world,” said Québec Agent-General in London, Stéphane Paquet.

The event was made possible through the support of its partners: the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, CGI and Fasken Martineau.

The Québec Annual Lecture is intended to recognize the excellence and creativity of Quebecers who have distinguished themselves in their fields.
