Mexico: six Québec universities at 15th CONACYT Postgraduate Studies Fair
Bilateral scholarship agreements between CONACYT and Québec universities are being contemplated in order to promote bilateral academic and scientific mobility.
Six Québec universities—Université de Montréal, Université Laval, Université de Sherbrooke, Concordia University, École Polytechnique and École de technologie supérieure de Montréal—participated in the 15th Quality Postgraduate Studies Fair of the National Science and Technology Council (CONACYT) of Mexico, which was held from April 4 to 11 in Mexico City, Mazatlán, Puebla and Oaxaca.
They are looking forward to participating in the Fair again in 2015.
CONACYT is the largest postgraduate studies promotion program in Mexico.
It attracts numerous students each year looking to undertake master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral studies.
Québec – CONACYT
The Government of Québec signed an agreement in 2011 to increase the number of mutual scholarships for Québec and Mexican students.
Québec’s participation in CONACYT makes it possible to boost awareness of its postgraduate studies programs with Mexican students and researchers and to strengthen bilateral relations with Mexico in the fields of postgraduate studies and research.
