    The mid-term meeting of the 64th session of the Commission permanente de coopération franco-québécoise (CPCFQ) was held in Quebec City on March 26 and jointly chaired by Maryse Bossière, Director for the Americas and the Caribbean of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), and Michel Audet, Deputy Minister of the Ministère des Relations internationales, de la Francophonie et du Commerce extérieur du Québec (MRIFCE).

    International Women’s Day: Québec honoured at UNESCO

    Québec was given a place of honour during the March 5 celebrations marking International Women’s Day at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. For the event, the President of Québec Native Women Inc., Viviane Michel, and the film director and founder of Wapikoni Mobile, Manon Barbeau, gave a presentation entitled “First Nations’ Women of Québec: Between Art and Activism.”

    Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014: $1.5 million in sales for some 20 Québec businesses

    A delegation of nearly twenty Québec companies was on hand at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the mobile telephony industry’s largest trade fair, held from February 24 to 27 in Barcelona. Led by Export Québec in collaboration with the Québec Government Office in Barcelona, the mission resulted in $1.5 million in firm sales.
